Round 1 · updated 20 Oct 2026
Logo proposals
Three directions, drawn in black and white. A was chosen on 20 October 2026 to keep the brand plain, so it never competes with the names on the page. The brand guide
- A · Seven Tiles Chosen ONOMIZE across seven equal tiles, one per question the site asks of a name.
- B · The Seven-Part O The O cut into seven parts, one left as an outline because it is not yet rated.
- C · The Blank Eighth Seven letter tiles and an empty eighth, because the name stops one letter before Brevity turns yellow.
A Seven Tiles
Wordmark ChosenONOMIZE across seven equal tiles, one per question the site asks of a name.

Tests
- 16 px
- Passes. The O tile reads clearly.
- Dark tab
- Needs work. The ink tile sinks into a dark browser tab. The favicon needs a paper tile or a paper edge.
- One colour, reversed
- Passes. Both work; reversed is the existing header.
- Audit
- Passes. 100/100, 15 anchors in the symbol.
Why it fits
- It grows out of the header the site already has, so the logo and the site agree from day one.
- Seven letters is the longest name that stays green on Brevity. The name passes its own rule.
- The letters are drawn, not typed, so no font can reproduce them.
Risk
The O tile alone is plain; recognition comes from the row. Letter tiles recall Wordle and Scrabble, so the mark stays ink and paper and never takes the rating colours.
B The Seven-Part O
Symbol and wordmarkThe O cut into seven parts, one left as an outline because it is not yet rated.

Tests
- 16 px
- Fails. The seven cuts close up into a blob and the open part vanishes. That loss is built into the idea.
- 64 px and up
- Passes. Reads as an O and as seven parts.
- Audit
- Needs work. 84/100: drawn from short straight segments this round; a final file would use curves.
Why it fits
- The most ownable symbol of the three, and it carries "partial is honest" in the mark itself.
- The flat wordmark beside it is the strongest typography in the set.
Risk
Segmented rings are common (Chrome, Open Collective) and it can read as a pie chart.
C The Blank Eighth
Stacked tilesSeven letter tiles and an empty eighth, because the name stops one letter before Brevity turns yellow.

Tests
- 16 px
- Fails. The 4×2 grid turns to noise; the 2:1 block sits small in a square icon.
- Lockup
- Passes. Reads as ONOM / IZE with a clear empty slot.
- Audit
- Passes. 99–100/100.
Why it fits
- The cleverest story of the three, and the outlined tile is the site's own "not yet rated".
- Square enough for a social avatar.
Risk
Without letters the symbol looks like any app-grid icon.
Rounds
- Decision A chosen. It became the logo; its files and rules are in the brand guide.
- Round 1 Three directions drawn on one letter grid (cap height 132, stem 32, diagonals at 60°). A square-countered O was tried for A and dropped because it read as a zero.
